Down load your book Lady of the Drake and love it so well written. Thank you for the adventure. I also have listen to all your podcast and have been a fan from the start. Good luck in your future writing and keep the show going.

  2. Excellent! However…the download for iTunes appears to not be working. 🙁

  3. Lesson of the day, the internet is fallible.

  4. Well, while I appreciate your sex-positivity, it’s not really true that female dominants in the scene are just “taken at their word.” There is still a shitton of misogyny, racism, and shitty attitudes in the BDSM community.

  5. Wonderful show! I’m a first time listener, and enjoyed it immensely. I just subscribed in iTunes and can’t wait to listen to more.
I’m also going to download Lady Of The Drake!

  6. Hey JV, thanks for another great episode. The way that you talked about feminism vs. women’s liberation is great.

You mentioned nature vs. nurture and suggested that evolutionary adaptation would have a significant impact on dominance/submissiveness. You might find the following Wikipedia article interesting; it suggests that differences between men and women’s intelligence and emotions are mostly social, not genetic (nurture over nature)

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_and_intelligence
“A child development researcher at Harvard University[78] argues that boys are taught to shut down their feelings, such as empathy, sympathy and other key components of what is deemed to be pro-social behavior. According to this view, differences in emotionality between the sexes are theoretically only socially-constructed, rather than biological.”

  7. New listener, love your podcast! Subscribed on iTunes and have been listening all the way back to the beginning. In one of the episodes, I thought it was this one you recommended two books on submission and now I can’t find which podcast actually has that information and I don’t see it posted in the resources section on the site. Could you post what the name of those two books were as I would like to read them?

Thank you and keep the great podcasts coming!!
    RJ
